In the unfortunate event of trauma or eyelid cancer, eyelid reconstruction may be necessary to improve eyelid function and preserve vision while maintaining an aesthetically natural appearance.
We apply a wide variety of the most up-to-date surgical techniques to make this possible. Preoperatively, several factors are carefully analyzed to determine the best surgical plan for an optimal outcome.
Anesthesia and Recovery
Dependent on the degree of repair necessary, this surgery may be performed under a local with sedation or general anesthesia, and most commonly on an outpatient basis. Recovery may take ten to fourteen days for the bruising and inflammation to subside and restrictions would be determined on an individual basis.
